Amingad kardant to be made available across Nandini Milk Outlets
Aminghar Kardant of Bagalkot district will soon be available at Nandini Milk parlours as the Karnataka Milk Federation of the Vijayapura-Bagalkot Milk Producers’ Union will join hands with Kardant producers.
Informing this at a press conference here on Friday, Srishailgouda Patil, chairman of the federation, said that the federation would supply by-products such as ghee to Kardant makers.
He said that the federation also plans to introduce bread in the future at its stalls.
Claiming that the Vijayapura-Bagalkot federation was second in the State after south Canara in the margin of profit, Mr. Patil said that all efforts were being made to clinch the top position next year.
He said that to expand its business in Maharashtra also, the federation was in touch with the authorities there. Mr. Patil said that the federation, which already has 314 unions, would be adding some 100 more in the future and the registration of 40 of them was underway.
He said that to prevent the adulteration of milk by suppliers, the federation has installed milkoscreeners, a machine that detects any adulterated substances.
On the occasion, he informed that on Saturday, the federation would be launching thick, creamy Kolhar curd in plastic cups.
“This is our novel initiative to popularise Kolhar curd as this curd is gradually losing market. From Sunday onward, this curd would be available in all our parlours in Vijayapura and Bagalkot district,” he said.
