Google Chrome Remote Desktop

Laptop at the table and we at different place!
This is my favourite arrangement, but the shot is we don’t want to get out frequently to control our PCs.

Thanks to many apps for helping us to get this arrangement done like “Splashtop”, “Microsoft Remote Desktop” and more. Its Google’s time to launch their own app to remote control, yup this is called “Chrome Remote Desktop” still in its beta stage does a lot of work.

  • What it does?
Well, once configured it will aid you to control your PCs from either mobile phones or laptops from distant places.
  • How to start?
Go to chrome store and search for Chrome Remote Desktop and install the extension (24mb). Similarly, install the client version on your cellphone “Remote Desktop“.Now at the host side(laptop) launch remote desktop app and set the pin for the email id provided. Launch the app from mobile and select the PC you want to control and enter the pin you had set earlier and done..  Your PC screen will be mirrored on your phone.

Note: Both the devices must be connected to the internet.

Happy Controlling 🙂
